What began as a modest importing office in 1985 has grown, through discipline and conviction, into one of Egypt's most capable food and beverage operations.

Sakr Group was founded in 1985 by Mr. Ahmed Sakr with a team of three in Alexandria. The company's earliest mission was clear: bridge Egypt's food industry to global ingredient markets. The group secured its first exclusive agency within four years, establishing the supply relationships that would anchor decades of manufacturing growth.

Through the 1990s and 2000s, Sakr transitioned from pure trading into integrated food manufacturing — building factories, adding production lines, and developing its own portfolio of retail brands across dairy, beverages, fats, and speciality foods.

Today, the group operates eight factories and eighteen active production lines, producing more than 77,000 tons of food products per year — exported to over 70 countries across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and beyond. Four decades of investment have made Sakr a name that buyers, retailers, and governments trust.

The commercial arm of Sakr Group and its founding entity. Established in 1985 as the group's gateway to global food ingredient markets, Sakr for International Investment has held the exclusive agency for Fonterra (NZMP) bulk butter and dairy ingredients in Egypt since 1989 — a supply relationship that has shaped Egypt's dairy processing industry for over three decades.
