Dr. Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, and his accompanying delegation, visited the third industrial zone in the new city of Borg El Arab in Alexandria Governorate, where they inspected the new factory of Sakr for Food Industries.

The Prime Minister toured the sections of the new factory and its manufacturing stages, and listened to an explanation of the new factory, which was established in 2020 on an area of ​​22,000 square meters, with investments amounting to about 254 million pounds.

The new factory alone also provides more than 400 new direct jobs, and more than 1500 indirect jobs, and the target export percentage is 45% of the factory’s production in 2025.

The company indicated that it was established in 1986, with a capital of 3 million pounds, and the current working capital of the company, in addition to the fixed assets owned by it, is about 2 billion pounds.

The company pointed out that it operates 7 factories that produce more than 150 products, and the sales volume in 2019 amounted to about 2.2 billion pounds, and the number of direct employments in the company reached more than 1,300 workers, in addition to more than 5,000 individuals as indirect workers.

The company stated that it exports its products to a number of global markets, where the rate of export growth in 2020 reached about 66%, which represents 25% of the company’s sales. It is exported to 73 countries, and the proportion of the local component in the products of Sakr for Food Industries is 80% of the most from 250 resources
